En un peu plus de 10 ans, les studios britanniques Magic Light ont multiplié les adaptations animées des livres de Julia Donaldson et Axel Scheffler, avec leurs personnages marquants : le Gruffalo, Zébulon, Monsieur Bout-de-Bois… Le tout sous forme de spéciaux TV créés en partenariat avec des studios comme Triggerfish Animation, Studio Soi.

Le distributeur Les Films du Préau a concocté une ressortie cinéma de ces différents moyens-métrages, sous forme de quatre programmes accessibles au jeune public dès 3 ans et visibles dès à présent dans les salles françaises.

C’est Magic se décline donc en quatre programmes de deux moyens-métrages :

  • De Père en Fils (53 min) : “Le Gruffalo” de Jakob Schuh et Max Lang (2009) et “Le Petit Gruffalo” de Johannes Weiland et Uwe Heidschötter (2011), fabriqués chez Studio Soi.
    “Il n’est jamais très bon qu’un Gruffalo, père ou fils, se montre dans le grand bois profond. Il pourrait être poursuivi par la Grande Méchante Souris. Mais entre un Gruffalo et une souris, lequel des deux est le plus effrayant ?”
  • Sucré, salé (53 min) : “Le Rat Scélérat” de Jeroen Jaspaert fabriqué chez Triggerfish Animation (2017) et “La Baleine et L’escargote” (Max Lang et Daniel Snaddon (2019)
    “Entre le bandit le plus gourmand des alentours qui vole tout ce qui se mange, et une petite escargote qui rêve de découvrir le monde et de croquer la vie à pleines dents, ce programme sucré-salé ne manquera pas de vous mettre en appétit ! À cheval ou à dos de baleine, embarquez pour un fabuleux voyage, à savourer en famille…”
  • A la Baguette ! (53 min) : “La Sorcière dans les airs” de Max Lang et Jan Lachauer (2012) et “Monsieur Bout-de-Bois” de Jeroen Jaspaert et Daniel Snaddon, fabriqué chez Triggerfish Animation (2015).
    “Pour la sympathique sorcière qui s’envole sur son balai, et le paisible Monsieur Bout-de-Bois qui décide d’aller courir de bon matin, le chemin ne sera pas de tout repos ! Commence alors, pour nos deux héros, une longue aventure parsemée d’embûches et de rencontres.”
  • Tout feu, tout flamme (53 min) : “Zébulon le Dragon” de Max Lang et Daniel Snaddon, fabriqué chez Triggerfish Animation (2019) et “Zébulon et les Médecins Volants” de Sean Mullen (2020).
    “De ses débuts à l’école des dragons, où il rencontre Princesse Perle et Messire Tagada, à ses premiers pas comme ambulancier des médecins volants, découvrez les aventures de Zébulon, jeune dragon aussi attachant que maladroit !”
