Captain BAL : un pirate à l’abordage du MIPCOM

L’équipe de Flying Ship Studio, studio d’animation basé à Tokyo, nous dévoile un aperçu de sa série Captain BAL.
Destinée aux 5-9 ans et axée comédie, elle met en scène un garçon qui vit sur une île. Il décide de lancer un gang de pirates avec Puu (un curieux chien-cochon), sa soeur Muge et une salamandre géante, Cuuna. Malgré leur désir de devenir les plus redoutables pirates de l’océan, explique Flying Ship Studio, ils se retrouvent toujours à aider les gens. Pire, quand ils réussissent à dénicher des trésors ou de l’argent, des agents de recouvrement de dettes prennent tout.
Leurs tentatives échouent donc systématiquement, mais ils gardent espoir et poursuivent leurs aventures.

Deux épisodes de 11 minutes sont déjà bouclés, 11 autres étant en production. Flying Ship Studio présentera le projet en octobre à Cannes lors du MIPCOM et recherche des partenaires potentiels.

Flying Ship Studio (connue jusqu’en 2016 sous le nom NEFTFILM.LLC) travaille sur des projets variés allant de la série au long-métrage en passant par la publicité et le clip. En termes de style, là encore le studio opte pour la diversité, du stylisé au réaliste. On pourra trouver sur son site web un aperçu de ses projets passés.
