Un (nouveau) récepteur USB-C pour les Apple Remote

Ca va faire quelques années que j’en parle, un lecteur a créé un récepteur USB pour les anciennes télécommandes Apple. Il m’a envoyé récemment sa dernière version, qui se branche en USB-C.

La nouvelle version dispose donc d’une coque blanche, à la finition correcte. Ca dépasse un peu en épaisseur sur un MacBook Pro ouvert, mais rien de problématique. L’adaptateur s’achète sur le site de Guillaume pour environ 20 €. Il existe en trois versions : USB-A, USB-C et USB-C avec une coque. Dans tous les cas, c’est plug & play de Mac OS X Tiger à macOS Catalina (je viens de tester) et ça marche même sur les PowerPC.

Le récepteur USB-C

Le seul bug que j’ai trouvé traîne depuis macOS High Sierra : si vous tentez de désactiver le récepteur dans les Préférences Système, ça ne fonctionne pas. Ce n’est pas réellement bloquant avec un récepteur USB : si vous voulez le désactiver, il suffit de le débrancher. Assez bizarrement, ça fonctionne avec un « vrai » récepteur Apple : mon premier montage, qui utilise une puce Apple, se bloque bien.

Versions USB-A, USB-C, modèle custom home made, etc.

En attendant, si vous voulez commander un Mac moderne avec une télécommande Apple Remote, c’est la solution la plus simple.
