Powkiddy V90 : une nouvelle console 3 pouces très… inspirée

Disponible en deux coloris jaune ou orange, la Powkiddy V90 reprend donc ce format particulier de clapet qui déploie la partie supérieure comprenant l’écran et une base servant à piloter l’ensemble.

PowKiddy V90Clairement, la Powkiddy V90 joue sur la corde sensible d’un format que les nostalgiques apprécieront, la partie écran accueille une dalle IPS de 3 pouces en 320 x 240 pixels. Elle restera protégée au fond de votre poche lorsque la console sera refermée. Une fois ouverte, elle proposera une croix directionnelle et les quatre boutons ABXY en plus des Start et Select habituels. Deux gâchettes sont également disponibles sur le haut du dispositif.

Une paire d’enceintes 1 watt est disposée de part et d’autre de la coque basse tandis qu’un port jack audio stéréo est placé en bas de la coque pour brancher facilement un casque. C’est également là que l’on trouvera un port USB Type-C pour charger la batterie 1020 mAh de l’engin et transferer des données. 

A l’intérieur, on retrouve un matériel assez classique pour ce type de production avec un SoC peu détaillé : il s’agit apparemment d’une solution Allwinner F1C100S mais rien n’est certain pour le moment. 16 Go de stockage sont intégrés et un lecteur de cartes MicroSD est également présent pour étendre les capacités de stockage de la machine. L’autonomie annoncée grimperait à 4 heures d’usage pour 2.5 heures de charge, chiffres qu’il faut évidemment prendre avec précaution.

D’un point de vue logiciel, la promesse est intéressante avec la possibilité d’installer des application sur un Linux non détaillé. La possibilité que le constructeur ait employé le classique système NxHope. 15 émulateurs sont installés d’office pour piloter des jeux variés issus de vieilles consoles : GB, GBA, PS1, NEOGEO…. 

La Powkiddy V90 est en vente sur la boutique officielle de la marque sur Aliexpress.com pour environ 36€. Un prix attractif mais une console pas encore très bien détaillée pour le moment. Il est peut être sage d’attendre des retours sur ses capacités avant de craquer.
