La ville de Nice veut croire en un nouvel essor des Studios La Victorine

C’est ce mercredi 11 avril à la Cinémathèque française et en présence de son président, le cinéaste Costa-Gavras, que Christian Estrosi (maire de Nice) a présenté le « Comité Victorine », coordonné par Eric Garandeau (ancien Président du CNC). Ce comité est chargé de trouver de nouvelles orientations de développement afin de redonner souffle à ces plateaux de cinéma centenaires. Il est composé de personnalités du monde du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel : Véronique Cayla ancienne présidente du CNC et présidente d’Arte, Xavier Couture, producteur et ancien pdg Canal+, David Kessler, patron d’Orange-cinéma, Thierry de Segonzac, président fondateur de TSF et président du Pôle Media Grand Paris, Pierre Lescure, président du festival de Cannes, Joann Sfar, réalisateur niçois, Bertrand Bonello réalisateur niçois, scénariste, compositeur et Claude Lelouch, réalisateur. La municipalité de Nice avait décidé de reprendre en régie la gestion des Studios La Victorine (ex Studios Riviera) en novembre dernier (Euromedia France se chargeait précédemment de la gestion du site sous forme d’une délégation de service public) afin de donner une nouvelle impulsion à ce site emblématique – Estrosi ayant estimé qu’Euromedia n’avait pas développé l’activité et modernisé les équipements comme il aurait fallu et qu’il avait laissé « vivoter » le site pendant des années. Des plateaux qui font partie de l’histoire du cinéma français et où se sont tournés des films comme Les visiteurs du soir, La nuit américaine, Les enfants du Paradis, Et dieu… créa la femme, Mon oncle, La sirène du Mississipi, Brice de Nice…

Studios_Riviera_La_Victorine_Nice

Les studios Riviera ont été repris par la ville de Nice en novembre 2017 et rebaptisés de leur nom d’origine Studios La Victorine.

Il s’agit également pour Nice de protéger le terrain – qui appartient à la ville depuis 1960 – de la promotion immobilière, alors que durant la municipalité Peyrat (maire de Nice de 1995 à 2008) des bruits courraient de reprise de ce terrain exceptionnel (situé à 5 minutes de l’aéroport de Nice Côte d’Azur) par des investisseurs russes. Reste aujourd’hui à convaincre les producteurs de cinéma français et étrangers de venir tourner sur ces dix plateaux (400 m² à 1200 m²). Christian Estrosi peut compter sur le crédit d’impôt national et international mais cela ne sera pas suffisant sans une modernisation drastique de cet outil de production. Difficile de dire également si ce « Comité Victorine » pourra faire mieux qu’Euromedia France qui a géré et développé des plateaux de cinéma et de télévision durant 35 ans…

Grâce une app de tracking GPS, embarquée dans le smartphone des pilotes, et qui transmet à chaque seconde la position des voitures, il est possible pour les fans d’avoir un suivi en direct de la course sur une carte interactive enrichie de nombreuses informations comme la vitesse, les écarts, les temps de passage, le timing, les classements…

Tout est automatisé et simple à déployer par l’organisation de la compétition. Aucun équipement dédié n’a besoin d’être installé dans les voitures. L’outil permet également aux équipes de sécurité d’identifier d’éventuels pannes ou accidents et d’intervenir plus rapidement.

Après un pitch d’une minute devant les invités, David Barbosa Da Silva, responsable Marketing et Commercial de GEORACING, a reçu le prix des mains de la Ministre des Sports, Roxana Maracineanu, et de Cyril Abiteboul, Directeur Général Renault Sport Racing.
