Fin des mises à jour pour certaines sondes Datacolor

Datacolor va passer cet automne au 64 bits pour les logiciels associés à ses sondes colorimétriques. Dans le même temps, l’entreprise met fin aux mises à jour sur une bonne partie de ses anciens produits.

Ainsi, les Spyder 2 à 4, sorties entre 2004 et 2012, ne recevront désormais plus de mise à jour, et donc en particulier pas du support du 64 bits. La Spyder 5 de 2015, elle, aura au 64 bits.
Autrement dit, ce sont des produits vieux de 7 à 15 ans qui cessent de recevoir des mises à jour : une durée de vie honorable d’autant que même s’ils n’évoluent plus, ils restent fonctionnels.

Bien entendu, Datacolor profite de cette annonce pour inciter ses clients à mettre à jour leurs produits vers la SpyderX, lancée au début de cette année. Cette dernière bénéficie d’un nouveau système de mesure optique, permet un étalonnage en moins de deux minutes (4 fois plus rapide que les versions précédentes), gère mieux les détails dans les zones d’ombres.
La SpyderX se décline en deux versions : Pro et Elite, cette seconde version fournissant un contrôle plus poussé de l’affichage, une console d’étalonnage expert, l’harmonisation des affichages au sein d’un studio complet ou encore la gestion des projecteurs numériques.
